THE GOD WHO SEES
Before God asks anything from you, He wants you to understand something about Himself: He sees you. This lesson introduces the theological foundation of The Well through Hagar’s encounter with God in Genesis 16. In a wilderness season marked by pain, uncertainty, displacement, and complicated relationships, Hagar discovers El Roi, the God Who Sees Me. Participants will explore what it means to be fully known by God without being discarded, overlooked, or reduced to their struggles. The lesson establishes The Well as more than an image of refreshment; it represents encounter, recognition, restoration, formation, and renewed direction.
